Cajun Bourbon Chicken


Well, I’m suppose to be on vacation but I wanted to stop and share a quick recipe.


  • less chicken breast, sliced into 2 inch chunks
  • 1 tablespoon creole seasoning or Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
  • olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups cornstarch
  • For the Bourbon Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 4 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons fresh grated ginger or 2 teaspoons dry
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with equal amounts of water
  • green onions to garnish
  • hot rice to serve

Instructions


  1. Mix all chicken ingredients except cornstarch and olive oil.
  2. Marinate for about 1 hour or overnight if desired.
